My name is Deborah Leach and I'm a retired banker.  I went back to school and became a massage therapist in 2005.  I graduated from the massage program of Oakland Community College in Union Lake, Michigan. 

My externship was at the Wateford Senior Center in the adult daycare facility and I found that I liked giving geriatric massage and felt it was important to introduce this generation to massage as a supplement to their existing healthcare program.  

Every Tuesday I am still at the Waterford Senior Center, which is part of the Waterford School District, and I give massages for a fee.  15 minute masssage sessions are open to the public and the membership.  Appointments are recommended by callilng 248-682-9450. 

Currrently, I am on staff at the Lourdes Senior Community to work with the residents at the independent facility and the memory care facility.  There I give comfort touch and massage.

I worked at Vaughn Chiropractic and found that I liked doing the deep tissue work and found that I also liked solving problems therapeutically.   Through therapeutic massage I become the direct provider for those who request care for a particular condition.  No prescription or referral is necessary. By continuing my education and training I will be able to continue to make sound decisions and skillfully evaluate the nature of a client's complaint.

I also give massage at my in-home clinic.  My days and hours are flexible and they vary weekly because of outside obligations listed above.  My family is also important so massage appointments are necessary. House calls are also an option and I charge travel fees.

I enjoy my days whether I'm indoors or out.  I like getting massages.  I enjoy my dog and the cat and God has blessed me with a great family and some fun grandchildren.  Life is good.
